Equality Analysis Workshop
The Equality Act 2010 imposes a broad legal requirement, known as the Equality Duty, on all organisations providing public services. The public sector equality duty therefore applies to all organisations that provide public functions. This includes, for example, a private sector company that guards prisoners or a charity that runs a care home. These organisations have to demonstrate how they have shown due regard to the three aims of the public sector equality duty: to end discrimination and harassment, to foster good relations, and to promote equality of opportunity.
Participants are encouraged to bring any analyses or assessments that they are currently completing.
